4 Reasons You Should Have Guest Posters

Posted by John Saddington on Jan 16, 2009

guestpostersOne of the strategies that I mentioned to those in attendance at Church Tech Camp : Dallas is the power of the “Guest Post”.

This should be a part of your foundational long-term strategy. No questions asked.

Why? Here are my 4 Biggies:

1. Saves you time. They post for you. How wonderful.

2. Gives a “fresh” voice and perspective. Changes it up. That’s healthy.

3. They bring their audience and social network with them.  This is huge. You’re base-audience just increased big-time. Make sure that you’re prepared to serve them when they get here…!

4. Creates “raving fans”. Besides #3, this may be the most important part. Some more thoughts on this a bit later perhaps.

So, are you considering it?  Have you done it?  Any other great reasons one might do it?

By the way, I’m always looking for more “Guest Posters” myself… so drop me a line if you’re interested!

  1. I am interested in being both a "guest poster" and having a "guest poster" feature on my blog. However I have a hunch that I need to develop my blog further before that happens…? Thoughts?

    • keep it open, but never stop writing yourself. that's what i think.

I have considered guest posts. I have already invited another blogger, and I'm in the process of seeking out other writers. Timely, and insightful idea! Thanks.
