Aardvark – A Much More Helpful Web Service Than Animal
I just recently got a BETA key to check out the new “social question and answer” service called Aardvark.
A pretty simple and straightforward service, it “lives” on your Instant Messaging client and then begins to route questions from other Aardvark members to the people that can best answer those questions. You can decide what questions you’d like to field or pass them on to someone better suited (or if you’re too busy to answer or you just don’t know).
It’s interesting, as ReadWriteWeb notes, that it’s very much like using Twitter to answer questions but from their results and testing the quality of the answers have been far better.
From my own use in the last 24 hours I am really liking it. I’ve been asked questions about WordPress, seminary, and a host of other questions already. I answered them fully and it seems that the persons asking were quite satisfied. I asked a few random questions like “Who should I follow on Twitter?” and got back a host of great responses.
This use of current services to create a new specific use and function is nothing less than innovative. I’m not exactly sure what it’s use is for the Church or how we could use the tech but I’m liking where this “social Q/A” thing is going.

If for some reason you have any more invites (by my count you don't) I'd love to get on board. I just checked it out and it seems like a really effective way to communicate information. The implications for sharing the gospel are huge!
