Ask 8BIT

Posted by John Saddington on Mar 14, 2010

It’s that time again.

This is our weekly Q and A session with the 8BIT Team. You can ask us anything and one of us will hook you up with an answer in the coming week.

Simple, right? Oh, and did we answer your question from last week? Let us know.

  1. How many combined hours has the 8Bit team logged on the Wii this past week?

    • Tom

I can’t speak for the team, but I’ve personally logged zero. I’ve got a queue of games I’d like to complete by the end of the year, but other stuff is taking priority right now =).

    • Wii none, but Playstation…countless

    • A mere 2 hours. But fully enjoyed :-) .

      • 1 hour on sunday.. and it was great!

  2. In a steel cage free for all match, which member of the 8Bit team is the last one standing?

    • kyle. because he’s getting coffee while we destroy each other. he shows up and everyone else is dead.

      • Tom

That happened last Tuesday. For real.

      • I can’t top this.

  3. How’s your search for a Director of Marketing coming? Got many promising candidates?

    • perhaps. i think we’re taking our time on this one… staying lean. ;) but, we could seriously use the help.

  4. If your writing a lot of text in a blog post what kind of line spacing should you use to increase user readability?

    • depends on a number of factors but generally you just want it to be easy on the eyes. writing effective web copy is an art form and also a science. it also takes into consideration your audience and segment/culture they are from.

technology blogs, for example, have very short paragraphs. other blogs don’t.

      • I like pictures….

  5. I’m looking for a solution for a song-submission page on a WP-based site. The reader would submit a song, title, artist, etc., and the moderator could approve disapprove and apply a rating. The song would then be displayed on the site in a song list with links to iTunes. Ideas?

    Thanks!

  6. What is 8Bit’s preferred drink of choice?

    • Tom

      Mine? Coffee. Definitely coffee.
