"We always have to remember that the vast majority of those within the greater Church have no idea what is possible with web technology."

John - thanks for saying this. I know sometimes people are surprised at the simplicity of my posts, but the niche I'm addressing really doesn't know these things. It's true that I'm writing about putting anti-virus software on the computer because it's still really necessary to do so. All professions struggle with staying in touch with where the world is as a whole because you're not functioning there. I've been focusing on this particular group for several years and I still have to work not to overload ... and now I have to run the tricky balance between those at pre-101 level and those more knowledgeable but not at "church with IT staff" level.

With huge churches and Church IT departments (and blogs and forums and conferences and...) it's easy to forget that this remains a small percentage of the entire world of ministry. I'm passionate about the group I'm trying to help and I appreciate your thoughts toward this as well. Anything we can do to help is great.

So thank you for the post and all the resources you provide - not just on blogging. It would be overwhelming to distribute posts like this as is, but I sure keep the resources in hand for when folks are ready. And your site is a huge help to me! I'm glad I found it.
