Sometimes what makes a website (and especially a blog) can simply be the images that are used to create culture, presence, and impact. Pictures simply say what copy cannot.

For a lot of ministries and businesses interested in using stock photography I oftentimes recommend Cylo.ps as a possible place to start. It does what it says it does.

What other great stock photo sites do you use consistently?

hmm, I make major use of Flickr because of the options for Creative Commons. Not into buying the photos as yet – as good as they are, I have a long way b4 the ROI of that will be useful.
otherwise "other great stock photo site" I use consistently is my iPhoto collection :p

123rf.com has a decent selection and of course the old standards istockphoto.com. I'll have to give Cyclo.ps a whirl.

Have any of you heard of creativemyk.com? Lots of free Christian stock images shared by Christian artists. We also use Istock but they're prices got a little higher for photos.

Didn't know of that one Misha. Cool site. Thanks for sharing

I use it every once in a while.

This is great. Another site i'll throw out there is http://www.morguefile.com/ It's pretty good when it comes to searching. You can narrow the search down by sugject matter, and size.

Blue Vertigo (http://www.bluevertigo.com.ar/bluevertigo.htm) lists more than 80 different sources of free stock photos. Every Stock Photo (http://www.everystockphoto.com/) is a great search engine for free photos.

I like Morguefile (if not for the name)

cyclops looks good too!

John, that site pretty much sucks. The search doesn't even work correctly. I think Everystockphoto.com pretty much nailed it for the type of site it is. Morgue and CreativeMYK are pretty sweet resources.

I search Flickr for many of the images I use to help make my point on my personal blog posts. Mainly due to the Creative Commons licensing options they use.

I use iStockphoto.com at my church for our major communications department stuff.

Thanks for pimpin Cylo.ps too! Looks good
