Easily Create a Social Media Policy for Your Org!

Posted by John Saddington on Mar 9, 2010

Wow.

This tool here is amazing. PolicyTool can help you craft a Social Media Policy for your organization in less than a few minutes.

In fact, if you’re really fast, it’ll take a few seconds.

Literally.

Super-neat.

Although I used the tool I’m not going to use it officially for my team; we’ve crafted our own.

But, for most organizations this might just do the trick!

Here’s a copy of ours if you’re interested.

  1. Great find John and thanks for sharing yours – I’m in the process (always slow here) of persuading my pastor that they need policies for all sorts of stuff.

We can’t and shouldn’t exist just on trust.

  2. Very cool. However, the policy it created for me was 1235 words-I’m the only one who would read it.

  3. Nice tool.

IMO, this is something that gets very overlooked by churches and would be incredibly useful.

    • thought it was pretty cool.

    • ok- so what does “IMO” mean? It’s driving me nuts that I don’t know!

  4. This is sweet! Something I can definitely point clients to when working with them on their social media strategy. Thanks John.

    • sure thing!

    • Second that! Definitely a great resource for helping churches get started with taking social tools seriously.

  5. A great resource for those jumping into social media. I imagine that any sort of policy pertaining to it is rarely thought of. This is too easy not to use.

  6. This looks great. Now if only I had a company. All I have is a stinkin blog.

  7. Whoa! Coming at just the right time! I’ve finally gotten the go-ahead to launch blogs for all my pastors and a couple other staff members. We should really have one of these.
