Easter is Coming… Online? – #Easter

Easter is coming. It’s my favorite “holiday” of the year. It’s also my daughter’s middle name.
What are you planning on doing this year for Easter in terms of web technology? Will you be “tweeting” something? Blogging something? Inviting you non-Christian friends to a service?
Some people are trying to make Easter really visible online. You can see what LifeChurch is doing from their end of the woods and Tony Steward who is going to be rocking it.
So, I repeat… what are you doing? Blogging about eggs and bunnies is ok too, in my book.

Very cool.
I was very impressed with LifeChurch.tv even in low quality when I watched it for the first time.
they are certainly leading the way in this regard.
I have always liked Easter but I am usually traveling because that is spring break. I haven't been to a good Friday service in 3 years. I am hoping to attend both a good Friday service and my own church for easter.
Thanks for the post man! We are going to try to "rock it" and make Easter visible online. But it only happens when everybody jumps in. Excited to see what God will do as we leverage all the tech and social media channels we have to point people to him!
Rock on
I am SO pumped about the Easter service at Church Online! Can't wait to see how God moves people to it, in it and through it!
After looking at what Church Online is doing, I have to say that in today's age, they "Get It" and are leading the way. Unfortunately most churches don't and because they don't they won't do anything like this.
I think what LifeChurch.tv is doing with Easter online this year is awesome! It's definitely something that I'll be "tuning" into and telling others about. But I think seeing what they are doing should cause a lot of us to think about how much work we are doing to engage our communities in our church's Easter services, whether it's online or not. And I think sometimes we assume we have to spend tons of money for a big fancy billboard, or banners, or huge video shoots and forget the free power or the social interwebs we have available to us to get the word out!
At The Chapel, we're ditching the normal snail mailer and placing inviting into our folks hands with rave cards/postcards. Here's the site: http://www.chapeleaster.org

i'm doing the easter sunrise service talk this year and i'm looking for a way to incorporate some media, not sure how, probably want to make sure i don't mix it up with my april fool's joke. We are considering doing a live online service …
