friday5Wow.

It’s been ages since I’ve gotten one of the Friday 5’s out…! But, I’ve resurrected it today for kicks!

Adam is someone I’ve gotten to know a lot more recently and he’s got a background in Wordpress which makes him awesome.

So check it out:

Whatcha Working On?

In addition to being a full-time youth & young adults pastor, I am continuing to develop my portfolio as a web designer. I work almost exclusively with WordPress, so it was great for me to be able to attend WordCamp SF last weekend and continue to deepen my knowledge of the software and deepen my connections with others who are doing amazingly creative work.

I’m also working on producing higher quality content on my site, Pomomusings. I write about design, ministry and theology and am working on developing a great balance between those three things that I’m very passionate about.

I think web 2.0 technology has a HUGE impact in the way we think and talk about the kingdom [see my Communicating Faith in a Web 2.0 World presentation]. As we continue to live in a world that is more open-source, more interactive and begs for more and more participation by everyone, I think we need to find ways to allow that to happen in our churches as well. And I think we need to ask ourselves, in 2009, is it relevant – or even honoring of the gospel – if our theology reflects the technology of the 1500s? Or might our knowledge and experience and technology of today move us into new ways of thinking about the Gospel and the Kingdom…?

How do you see Web Technology impacting The Kingdom?
