Friday 5 – Mr. Ragamuffinsoul

Posted by John Saddington on Nov 7, 2008

Today’s 5 is all about the Ragamuffinsoul.

Love him or hate him, he’s doing things with his blog that few have ever been able to do, even less have dreamed of, and now tons have (perhaps) envied him for.

But here’s the point:  He’s pushing the boundaries of what “online community” is and he’s doing it in a medium that isn’t necessarily a classically understood decentralized space.

That’s profound.

But he’s extensible, dynamic, unpredictable, and provocative.  He’s also using alternative mediums to promote his brand, and at the same time is unashamed of the Gospel, which is THE motivational factor for what he does.

And that’s why I can call him a digi-hero of mine.  I’m learning a lot and feel honored to be on the same team as he is.

Follow him on Twitter:  @loswhit

Name?

Carlos Enrique Whittaker Guzman Archibold Cabbio.

Seriously.  that is my full name.

*Editors Note* – Where the heck is Twitter on this list…?!?

Whatcha Working On?

I’m working on various “projects” to bring the word of Jesus Christ to the streets of Buckhead.  First it was the Buckjead Music Project.  Necx… Stay tuned!!!

How do you see Web Technology impacting The Kingdom?

I think that it is going to be THE way.  Seriously.  I have only so much time.  I have 2 hands.  I have 24 hours a day.  I am limited by the physical world I live in.  But online, the barriers break much quicker and people fall into relationship much easier.

Finally… I nominated his blog for the Open Web Awards.  Vote!

Haha! Thank you for FINALLY putting that to rest! Back in the old days of the Raggamuffin Soulcast he'd rattle off that name of his and I could never figure out what he was saying :)
