Gary Vaynerchuk: Creative Facebook Welcome Tab

Posted by John Saddington on Jan 5, 2010

Many of you are probably aware of who Gary Vaynerchuck is. He’s the “wine” guy.

But he’s more than that; he’s a social media entrepreneur and the church could learn a lot about how to use online media well by listening to some of the stuff he does (and how he does it).

He’s got an amazing Facebook welcome tab that I think is worth a look. I can guess that ministries are going to start spending more time, attention, and money in making their Facebook pages more awesome. Better start taking notes from those who are doing it well!

Got any other good examples?

  1. he is truly an inspiration. his talks are hilarious.

  2. What I love about Gary is that I know what his goal is, to buy the New York Jets. Its amazing that I know his goal and I have never met him, and yet I can go to church and have no clue what their "vision statement" is or what they are trying to accomplish.

  6. Gary's a workhorse. I started watching WL TV years ago. He's one of the reasons I got into blogging/Social Media… because I saw the power of what he was doing to grow his industry in that space… amazing.

    • He is awesome man. I love his stuff and his passion. Very contagious.

  7. I've been playing with this for the past few weeks for some of the fan pages I manage through my company. My initial inspiration came from this one: http://www.facebook.com/ONE?v=wall#/ONE?v=app_494... (I like that it's interactive, yet simple.)
    BTW- Gary's is amazzarricialistic!
