It’s Easier Now to Shoot Yourself in the Foot

Posted by John Saddington on Jun 17, 2009

This short 4 minute video is a good reminder of the simple truth that we can “shoot ourselves in the foot” more easily now.

Online Reputation Management, as it’s called, is our priority and our responsibility. I think the Church can be (if we wanted) leaders in the space of “managing” this effectively.

I love how some ministries and individuals have used blogs and social media to quickly be transparent and open about difficult issues (like Gary Lamb) which quickly eradicates ambiguity and “sets the record straight” sotospeak, even if it’s an extremely difficult issue.

Is your Church and/or Ministry taking the right steps to use social media in the right ways?
