North Point Online Launches New Look

Posted by John Saddington on Mar 29, 2010

North Point Community Church has launched a new look look to their Online Community and Experience at NorthPointOnline.tv!

I personally have had a blast working with the team internally (Brad, Micah, Jason, Scott, Julie, and the entire Web Team) and externally (Eyespeak!) and I think we’ve come up with something sweet.

There’s a lot that I could share about the experience but you’re going to have to check it out for yourself on Sundays:

  • Live at 11:00am Eastern
  • Re-Broadcast at 6:00pm Eastern

But, here’s one of my favorite features:

There’s a neat “dim” and “brighten” feature where we turn the lights down a bit.

Love it.

  1. I caught a few minutes of the 11:00 broadcast yesterday but I didn’t have a chance to explore the player completely. My first impression was great thought! I really love the lighted buttons on the site.

  2. I might be biased..but I think the new Facebook landing page is pretty sweet too…

  3. Nice stuff, I’ll try get online this Sunday – try

  4. Looks pretty sweet. Does the background lighting match the color of the video, like in that HTML5 demo you posted a few weeks back, John?

  5. this looks awesome. I will be out of town for Easter and am stoked to try it out firsthand!

  6. I noticed the new look yesterday, too.

Kept getting a MySQL error before the 11am service, but after several refreshes it eventually loaded up and I caught the service.

  7. Ooooo dimmed lights. Intimate ;)

  8. Rock solid, I love it.

  9. NPOnline has become part of our regular Sunday evening. Tami works on lesson plans for the week and I work on weekly reports that are due first thing every Monday morning. It is interesting to listen to a service a second time. (Different music now that the filming is at NP) I am not concentrating on the sermon as much since I am also working, but I almost always hear something I missed the first time around.

  10. Looks great and really adds to the environment

  11. Looks great! I love the “Dim the Lights” feature on Hulu. Nice add!

  12. Very beautiful and clean design. Love the dim feature also! Do you happen to know who they use as their service provider for live streaming?

  13. sveet. :)
