ParaTweet – A Live Event Twitter Service

I think the above screenshot on ParaTweet’s homepage really speaks to what this service is all about: Leveraging Twitter and the community to engage in a deeper way during a live event or conference.
First used at Catalyst West Coast, you can see that some of the presenters, in this scenario, are taking real-time questions from the audience (either at the conference or perhaps around the world) and being able to connect effectively, answer the questions, and just have good old-fashioned fun with Twitter.
From a first-impression, this is genius. It looks like setting it up is as simple as a couple of clicks and then you’ve got live-moderation capabilities in the backend.
All you need now is the groundswell, which this tool can really catch.
More screenshots after the jump:

The service ain’t free though, which is a bummer, but someone’s gotta keep the lights on, right? It’ll set you back a few benjamins depending on the amount of service you’d like to get.
Check it out, it’s worth a look.

I like it a lot!! Is the cost steep?? Or is that a good price for the value?
John…'preciate the write-up! It's a project that a few of us are pretty excited about. Open to any feedback that you and @jakeschwein have.
Micah,
Thanks for stopping by! Great concept. Is there any way to provide a lower cost solution?
We're open to stuff like that. What do you have in mind?
Micah,
Unsure really… but a gut-reaction to your pricing was that it was a bit high. I'd love to see a low-bar adoption product, or intro product, that could be used on a smaller basis.
but, you could be creative! no pressure here, of course.
love what you guys are doing! keep up the good work!
Cool…thx for the feedback. We're right at $50 & $100 per month for unlimited use…available via 6 month licenses. We've thought about offering monthly subscriptions though.
right on! keep up the good work! let me know of any future releases, news, etc!
great for a concert or conference venue…
Very cool. My pastor and I were talking about this very thing recently. He's not on twitter but he had this idea… would be very cool to see it in action!
