Family Life Pastor in a church that recently went thru a name change, and is strategically rebranding ourselves in the community. The church has been in the community of 20,000 for over 75 years, and nobody knows who we are.
We are a small rural country church. We are blessed to have a Seminary close by, and our pastoral staff is made up from our Sr Pastor who is a professor there, and our other pastors are students. We are able to provide them with part-time work and hand-on experience in ministry, and they bless us with a variety of talents and gifts during the time they are in seminary. We would truly be blessed to have these books for our pastoral staff, as well as the deacons/church board. Since our pastors are only here 1-3 yrs, they would take the knowledge from these books and spread into the new church when they accept a call after graduation. And it would fuel the flame of our small growing church that has a heart for its community! Thenk you.
Seth's TRIBES would be a huge encouragement to moving our volunteer leaders to seeing why their passions and talents are needed to lead and make a difference in the lives of our students and their world.
This would be a great resource for us to share with others in small groups!
Our leadership team would benefit greatly from Seth's book! Thanks for putting this out there! We're trying to regain focus and direction. Campbellsville Christian is located in an area of abour 20,000 for 125 years and still relatively unrecognized as a community influencer.
I echo the comment by Danielle above – I'm the Executive Pastor at Grace Church in Erie, PA. And we're just on the brink of hitting our stride in our new building and discovering and living in to our new identity. This would be a great resource for our team (staff and elders).
Some of us just read our friend Tony Morgan's "Killing Cockroaches" and we're excited that Seth's book does not have any insects involved.
Im the outreach pastor at our church (calvaryjupiter.com) and we would benefit greatly from reading "tribes" together. each month we pick a book to read as a team and i think this would be a perfect read for us for the month of june.
Our church plant just moved in to our first building. We are seeing some tremendous growth and this book would be a great resource.
I have a team of 10 small group leaders and am always looking for resources to enrich and expand their vision for leadership. We have an incredible team of leaders. I just personally finished "Purple Cow" and one of our other team leaders just began reading "Tribes". From what I am hearing, this would be a great addition to the other resources I provide for training resources.
Thanks for the consideration.
I would love to review this book and possibly use it in the classroom.
The staff at Maryville Vineyard would love this book. We enjoy Seth's writing, and stand to learn a lot from this one.
Thanks for the opportunity – a set of copies of Tribes would be an awesome tool and inspiration for our Saturday Night Worship team. Still a start up in many ways, our Saturday Night Worship is still getting to know the needs of our community and following God's leading in how to be a meaningful and helpful neighbor to those around us. Plus we are in Tribe country, Cleveland Indians you know, and that's one Tribe that could really use some leadership right now!

What's a "tribe"?

At a small Christian college where we're training the next generation of leaders. We're in a ton of transition, and right now is the time we need these kinds of resources to help our leadership team better understand how to develp a culture of learning so that students can effectively lead the Church.
I would love to hand over a copy to the Pastor at our Church – in fact every Pastor and leader in a church should give this a good read. Why? Cos Church is the one place where we should be striving for the sort of leadership depicted by Seth in Tribes – leadership that wins over people to our Faith in Jesus Christ and continues in the journey of growing in that relationship.
Sign me up! Our creative team (which includes musicians, graphic designers, audio engineers, producers, video editors, and web developers) would LOVE it.
This book would be Huge for our Leadership to read. In a lot of ways the church is set in the ways of the way church has been done for 50 years, and a lot of the Leadership they are great men of God, but don't know how to change or lead the change. This book I think would influence them and myself to see that change is good, leadership is great, and God has put us in a position to change the community we are in, and the world that is around us.
I want to put into the hands of my team every leadership book out there for the sake of Kingdom work.
Our faith community, The Renew Community, would use Tribes because the concept is good enough that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the concept has the opportunity to help us live up to our name – renew our community.
Tribes is an excellent book and I have been promoting Seth's work since I first picked up Purple Cow. I'm about to move to Dallas to work with a new church plant and I believe that this book would make a huge impact on the team that is already assembled there! Thanks!
