Start Small Not Big This Year for Yourself and Your Ministry
The first month of 2010 is almost over and the vast majority of people have not only created their “resolutions” or list of things they want to accomplish but have also failed and fallen short.
Statistically-speaking, most of us will never even get close to finishing and accomplishing those goals; many of us won’t even start.
Perhaps it’s because we’ve got our eyes set on things that are too big?
Here’s the thing with technology: It always starts small. Apple, Google, Microsoft, and all the brand names you’re familiar with started extremely small; mama’s basement and daddy’s garage type deals.
Thinking big is fine but when it means starting big that’s where we can get into trouble. You’ll save time, money, and a lot of energy.
Pick one or two goals that are reasonable; you and your ministry need to stay “agile”; you can move faster and farther if you do.
Ready? Go!

Still learning this…despite recent notoriety I have been working on that Bible verse about "whatever your hand finds to do."
Lately I have been working on getting a linux server running in my home office. I have Apache & PHP & Samba installed and running, so I can do Wordpress Dev and share files & printers. Now only to get better hosting for my sites that actually included SSH access so I could learn how to do Rsynch backups of live website files and databases.
I have gotten a couple of leads for Daniel C Berman Communications, but there is a big difference between leads and paying clients…There is still a lot of year left though – anything can happen!
love that verse. haha. congrats on the leads! it's a great start!
My goal is to increase the frequency by which I photoshop @dewde by 14.5%.
that's easy since @dewde sucks.
Agility, small scale/high impact deliverables, quick turn functionality – these are the best approaches today. All help to reduce complexity, please the constituency and steward the resources most efficiently.
i like those words. the make my brain happy.
