Sunday Special QA No. 13

It’s that time again…! Sunday’s a good day to take it easy.

I’ve decided that on Sundays I’m not going to do any blogging except for a very simple post series called “The Sunday Special” where you get to ask me anything you’d like.

You can ask about me about web technology, Wordpress, blogging, what I ate for breakfast… whatever.

I can’t promise that I’ll answer all of your questions, but feel free to answer each other’s questions as well.

I’ll try to answer all the questions throughout the coming week.

Simple enough, right? Go.

    Does NP give you a "budget" for conferences or is that an expense that you take on personally? Any suggestions for us regular folk to be able to fit the conferences in to our lives without breaking the bank?

      Yes, typically there is a budget, but this year since the economy has been down we've been limited. i do take a number of them on my own expense, but i usually can get compensated a tad or find housing through twitter (epic!).

      i think just choosing the \”right\” ones perhaps… there are so many, but find the ones that will fit an obvious need, not just for \”inspiration\”… my 2 cents.

    Jumping off of Andy's question, how many conferences do you go to in a year?

      as little as possible. christian conferences aren't as attractive as i once thought they were.

        i've gone to one conference this year, and it was not Christian. Albeit this week I'm at a Christian denominational conference…but I'm working.

          Right now I pretty much just go to Catalyst. It's like a really intense vacation more than anything else.
