Sunday Special QA No. 34

It’s that time again…! Sunday’s a good day to take it easy.

I’ve decided that on Sundays I’m not going to do any blogging except for a very simple post series called “The Sunday Special” where you get to ask me anything.

You can ask about me about web technology, Wordpress, blogging, what I ate for breakfast… whatever.

I can’t promise that I’ll answer all of your questions, but feel free to answer each other’s questions as well.

I’ll try to answer all the questions throughout the coming week.

Simple enough, right? Go.

    Lately i've seen lots of groups trying to force a topic into the twitter trending topics list through excess tweeting for the purposes of promoting something or even evangelizing. What do you think of this strategy? Do you think it's worth the effort?

    To me it seems having a small group of people try to force a topic up the list seems to defeat the purpose of trending topics in capturing what is getting talked about by the most people. It also seems like a lot of effort to get a few words briefly into a list that is often mostly rubbish.

      Joanna,

      I think the intentions are \”good\” but the methods are bad. I also think trending topics should be \”organic\” in nature, instead of programmatic, \”gamed,\” and fabricated.

      i don't think we win over people be being obnoxious.

      my 2cents.
