The PGA Tour’s Video was Amazing

Many of you have most likely already seen this (especially for any golf fans) but the PGA Tour’s Live Coverage of the 91st PGA Championship and their video player was amazing.
Not only was their experience and video technology state-of-the-art, but their social networking integration wasn’t half-bad either (although it wasn’t nearly as good as their video).
Screenshots barely do justice (and that’s why I took a video of it – see below) to it but it’s worth a shot (pun intended) if you didn’t happen to see it.

Now, this is only of interest to me because video is going to be such a crucial part of the growth of the Church and although we’ll never be better than the marketplace we can learn a lot from it.
The PGA’s presentation, offerings, feature sets, and delivery were all better than any online campus experience I’ve ever seen.
And although it would be nice to be as good as this, it’s just not going to happen; no ministry has the money to afford this, and if they did it wouldn’t be a wise investment since most of it isn’t necessarily applicable.
Great stuff though. Love it.

Totally agree John. They did a fantastic job creating a community with their design and flow. NPOnline is next!
Word up.
Cool! Do you know if they're going to this every week or if it's just for certain events?
Unsure. But, I'm not THAT into golf… i like the tech tho.
I'm not a fan of pop-up windows but the chat makes sense to exist in a pop up. Users can choose to ignore the feature or dive in and launch the pop-up where ever they want on their screen.
we ultimately went with this for NPONline.
I missed the grand launch. i hope to catch it this week. I am contemplating pitching adding social media to our live stream. Not sure if this church is ready (or needs) to make the jump yet.
I agree. I saw that you were watching and checked in myself. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the entire set up.
man…that is so clean…i had an unforgettable experience at the Nissan Open in LA a few years ago. We followed Tiger, VJ and Tom Lehman on day one from hole to hole.
