Conferences, Social Media & Networking, Twitter, Web ToolsVerge: Missional Community Conference Rocks FeedMagnet Stream
Verge, a Missional Community Conference which is currently about half-way through, has a very interesting and attractive Twitter feed widget that I had never seen before: FeedMagnet.
And although the service does have a “free” option, it would obviously be better to go ahead and pay the $35/month, especially if it’s for a conference or live gathering that doesn’t need to be used after a few days:

Now, I’m not sure if Verge is rocking a custom look on top of the platform but it looks pretty good:

Here are some of the options and customizations in terms of filtering:
Gather It
Set up content sources to start pulling in tweets, photos, articles, and videos. You can pull in feeds from specific users or search across social networks like Twitter.
Filter It
Control what makes it into your feed by only including updates that use certain words or by excluding updates that use other words. We even have advanced filter syntax, giving you complete flexibility
Moderate It
If you need more control over your content, you can choose to manually approve each update we pull in.Even if you don’t review each new post manually, you’ll still have the option to delete individual posts and blacklist users.
Display It
Once you have your feeds set up, you can put them anywhere: Show user feedback on your home page, product feedback on a purchase page, or content from an event on a flat screen or jumbo-tron.
What do you think?

We actually have separate (and cheaper!) pricing for churches, starting at $24/month. Plus, there are a lot of great ways FeedMagnet can be used for a church beyond just mimicking Verge in a Sunday service. Check out this article for more: http://budurl.com/churches
