Web Goes Back to the DOS Prompt
I’m speechless.
Typically I have (and want to have) a lot to say about a new startup but Kwyno has booted (pun unintended) all words from my mental dictionary.
Perhaps you should watch this video first and while you do that I’ll find something to say:
Kwyno / Beta Announcement from Kwyno Development on Vimeo.
Ok. I remember…
Although Kwyno makes me laugh the application for us doesn’t. I actually read this very morning in YouVersion Revelations Chapter 2. One particular line struck me in the heart:
“You have forgotten your first love…”
Snap.
Not to say that the DOS prompt is the internet’s first love but rather we, as the Church, as we engage in technology have often times been pulled toward attraction, newness, and other some things rather than our first love.
A kind reminder to innovate smartly. It is because of Christ that we do what we do online. Don’t forget that through Him and by Him are all things.
So rock on Kwyno, I give you love… and although I hope to see you make it out of private BETA, I’m not holding my breath for things that are not eternal.

Excellent point! We do indeed have to remember that in all the things we do…we must put Jesus first.
At the core we know that, but so often we get caught up in the process of daily life that we forget that in using the web, or in developing marketing tools to tell our story, that first and foremost it is all about Jesus. His message doesn't need technology to transmit. His message needs us to be in an ever-deeper growing relationship with him. If that part is right, the message of Jesus love will shine through everything we do…but only if we get the first part right – staying in touch with our first love – Jesus!
amen. can i just leave it at that?
