  1. Every couple of years when I wear the old one out. I do not buy due to obsolescence of the old (it would be hard for me to make a computer obsolete) unless it is the planned obsolescence of the OEM.

    • all these big words hurt my caveman head.i have to pull down the webster's to remember what
      obsolescence is B)

  2. stuff breaks. plus the amount of video editing and design work that i'm doing is changing every week.in my summation, a MAC is the only way i'm going to make it in the long run. i've been this compaq horse on the trails in the past 2 years.

  3. The last time I purchased a computer was when graduated from high school. I'm a sophomore in college now so that's 2 years or so. I plan to get a Mac before I graduate. I'd say an average or 2-3 years for most people. That's probably average laptop life.

    • doh!

i used to have a bad habit of buying a new one every 9-15 months.

      bad bad bad.

  4. Funny, they hurt my head too.

  5. Every 5 years because it has been 5 years since I bought my G5 1.6Ghz and the new Mac Pro's are just too expensive. But they are so cool.

  6. I purchased a 22" iMac during the last tax-free holiday. Before that… It had been a good 5+ years since I had bought a PC. I suspect (and expect) this iMac will last me at least as long.

    • imac just refreshed. doh! ;)

  7. like you.

  8. doh!

i used to have a bad habit of buying a new one every 9-15 months.

    bad bad bad.

    • I would say if you use it a lot like you obviously do then that isn't a bad thing. If you have the money to do so I'd say go ahead. Right now as a broke kid in college I can't do that. I'm sure you understand that.:|

      • dude, i can totally understand…

i used to be making some nice cash. but no more. i'm in “ministry”…

        pUAHAHH…

        • yea, I know what you mean. The thing that I think is crazy is that I am broke now and realize that..and still want to go into [Media] ministry…it's insane.

          • dude, if God leads you there man… it'll happen! love that about Him…

          • dude, if God leads you there man… it'll happen! love that about Him…

  9. for real man. Thanks for the encouragement.

Stop the twitter spam…i got it all at once when I got home from church tonight. I'm sure you won't let that happen again.
